Following the collapse of a 2 storey  building at No. 20 Amusu Street, Moshalasi, Apapa, Sari Iganmu  early this morning, the State government has assured the public that there was no cause for alarm , as the collapsed building was already  identified as a distressed building by  the Lagos State Building Control Agency, LASBCA.

LASBCA  General Manager, Arc . Gbolahan Oki who gave the assurance , explained that the building was   among the compendium identified by his agency as  distressed and occupants were evacuated long before now.

Oki while reaffirming government commitment to Safety of Lives and Property of the residents,  warned people in the built industry to follow the government laid down regulations and procedures while building.

He said his Agency will continue to carry out the present administration’s reform policies on construction to put a permanent  stop to building collapse in the State.
